Shri Agrawal Educational & Welfare Society, established this school in 2001.The school was inaugurated by honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Bhai Mahavir. In a reasonably short span of time SPS has found a proud place in the list of reputed schools. Growing from strength to strength it has now an infrastructure catering to the needs of the students up to senior secondary level. The goodwill and support of well-wishers inspired the society to open another CBSE affiliated school at Gandhi Nagar and Sagar Institute of Science & Technology at Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal.

The word ‘Sagar’ means an ocean, the convergence of all rivers. Sagar Public School is an ocean of learning, from where, the pearls of wisdom will be gathered by the students. Hence, it is an ocean of knowledge that imparts quality education.
Aims & Objectives
At SPS child is a supreme gift of God. The philosophy is to educate children to attain excellence in all Vistas of life. The objective of SPS is achieved by touching the hearts and transforming into excellence.
The school is run under the auspices of ‘Shri Agrawal Educational and Welfare Society, Bhopal’- A society with a governing body committed to cater the quality educational needs of the future.
The house system promotes a spirit of healthy competition and team work. The school is divided into four Houses to conduct activities and inter-house competitions throughout the year. In order to develop qualities of leadership and self reliance a student cabinet is formed to encourage governance by students themselves.
The names of the Houses are derived from the four sacred rivers of our country, namely Ganga, Yamuna, Narmada and Kaveri respectively.The members of the house cabinet are nominated by the House Mistress / Master on the basis of their overall performance. Every house is assigned a Captain, Vice captain, Senior Prefect and a Junior Prefect.The Head Boy and Head Girl are nominated by the Principal and Council Committee.
Assembly – The congregation comprises of the following:
- Gayatri Mantra, Saraswati Vandana, Shanti paath.
- Value based thoughts to pacify the young minds and soothe the soul.
- Current affairs to keep them up-to-date with the latest happening around the world.
- Gita Shloka recitation and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra chanting, to enhance the spiritual values among children.
